Trendy Office Wear for Women

Posted by: shopp  /  Category: Girl clothing

Gone are the days when working women are bound to wear drab suits in unfeminine colors and styles. Womens fashion just keeps getting better each season. In the past 15 years, the wardrobe of working women has changed almost beyond recognition.

Getting dressed for the office doesn’t mean to leave your personal style behind. There is the sense, mainly among young women, that nowadays any fashion goes. Why should women be bound by an old generation’s fear of looking too feminine compared to their male co-workers? Why should they wear drab, dark suits while fashion is serving up romantic fripperies? Why they wouldn’t want to look sexy – all of the time?

Today, you can be stylish and sophisticated in an office environment. You just need to find out what gives you professional, polished look and which fashion can be a career killer. You should always look out for what’s new and on sale in women’s career wear to keep you in vogue at the office. Smart professional women are always in search of the newest styles in fashion including women’s office wear.

When you’re going to the office, you have to be dressed to kill and look competent and serious towards your career. You can mix and match your style so that you draw the attention of officemates, but not cause distraction in the workplace. Impress your colleague and employers with how you carry yourself at the office and you may be the next candidate for promotion in no time.

You’ll probably see many working women in plain suits and plain inner shirts or blouses. Well, it is the safest way to go office when you’re an office girl. But as a fashionista, now you can wear a stylish silk blouse inside. You can also go for other designs and styles as long as they don’t distract your co-workers. Wearing skirts is yet another style you can try. You can match it with a frilly cotton blouse or a silk blouse.

If you have skirts and dress pants, you must have your own collection of dressy tops and blouses. Buttoned down blouses, V-neck, round neck and plain tees are some of the styles you can match with your skirts or pants. While mixing and matching outfits, just make sure you choose complementary colors. Use some accessories which will definitely make your office wear more fashionable.

So, go forward to whatever flirty, frilly fashion is coming down the runway. Remember, dress for your next job, not the one you’re in!

2012′s Fashion Farewells

Summer may seem like a distant dream but the fashion industry has been gearing up Spring/Summer 2012 for several months and there is some fabulous fashion currently working its way to a retailer near you. But to make room for these hot new trends, some of the old ones simply have to go. We take a look at some of 2011′s trends that didn’t make the cut for the New Year and what they’ve been replaced with.

Fifties fashion
The 1950′s revival has been around for several seasons and not without good reason; the gorgeous silhouette of a Fifties inspired dress worked wonders for a fuller figure, accentuating curves and creating a womanly form. But the look that more recently spun from the Mad Men wardrobe has finally seen its day, to be replaced with a look heavily influenced by the 1920′s. The great news is that this look also complements the curvier lady and flapper style attire makes for great plus size dresses.

Silver
Silver was big news in 2011 and, like most years, was a failsafe option for the winter months when metallics make their annual comeback. As we look towards Spring/Summer 2012, it’s time to step away from the cool shades of silver and heat things up a little with bold golden tones. Taking a distinct Seventies twist, shades of gold adopt a luxe, retro vibe, resulting in a Cleopatra meets Jerry Hall fashion fusion.

Midi skirts
Midi skirts, that is skirts that skim the calf, don’t offer the most flattering length to many women; regardless, the look has dominated trends over the past few months and was often used in conjunction with two other big trends of 2011: colour blocking and pleats. But, just like pleats, the reign of the midi is now over and it’s time to decide which side you’re on as maxi and mini skirts become the new lengths de jour.

Orange
Whether you preferred the summery hues of tangerine or the burnt tones of autumnal leaves, the fickle world of fashion has said au revoir to orange. Having spent much of 2011 riding high on a wave of catwalk and high street popularity, everyone’s new favourite colour is electric yellow. Perfect for spring, so expect a spectrum of yellow as we approach the new season, starting from soft shades of sorbet all the way to bold burst of neon brights.
